I Posted Anonymously for 30 Days — Here’s What Happened

Most of what we hear about social media is how bad it is for our mental health. And a lot of that is true. But it made me wonder… is it all bad?

So I decided to run a little experiment. I spent 30 days posting on an anonymous platform called Spilled Sips — no profile, no pressure, nobody knew it was me.

At first, it felt awkward. But over time, something shifted. And what I found about freedom, expectations, and support surprised me.

Watch the whole video here:

Here are the 3 biggest things I experienced:

  1. Awkward beginnings → posting without a name felt strangely uncomfortable.
  2. Freedom without expectations → sharing became lighter when I wasn’t chasing likes or algorithms.
  3. Support without strings → kindness from strangers felt easier to accept without pressure to give back.

It left me with a bigger question: can anonymous posting actually be a tool for mental wellness?

I don’t have all the answers, but I hope this experiment gives you something to reflect on for your own journey.

Take care of yourself, however that looks to you.
