I Went Hiking, Then Accidentally Ended Up At An Awards Show

In this vlog I take on the Fullerton Loop trail in Kananaskis Country — one of the easier but genuinely stunning hikes in the area — then clean up and head to the Oggie Awards, an inspiring community recognition night that honestly blew me away.

What's in this vlog:

• Picking a hike from the Kananaskis Country Trail Guide (Volume 3, 5th Edition)
• Fullerton Loop trail review — conditions, difficulty & what to expect
• Hiking essentials for Alberta: what I actually bring (and what I forgot)
• Rating bridges. Yes, I rate bridges
• The Oggie Awards in Ogden — a community celebration you need to know about
• Shoe shining life hack with dollar store lotion (trust me)
• Flirting on a trail. It didn't go great

Trail Info: Fullerton Loop | Kananaskis Country, Alberta Difficulty: Easy–Medium Time: ~2 to 2.5 hours Kananaskis Conservation Pass required — $94/year, up to 3 vehicles + 1 trailer

About the Oggie Awards: The Oggie Awards celebrate community champions in Ogden who are making their neighbourhood a better place. Shoutout to Connie and the Bravely Connected Communities team — you're incredible.

Hiking Gear Mentioned:
• Kananaskis Country Trail Guide by Gillian Daffern
• CamelBak hydration backpack (thrifted for ~$20)
• Nature Valley bars
• Hiking runners (not boots — unless it's backcountry)
• Sunscreen — always. Always.
