What Creating YouTube Videos Taught Me About My Mental Wellness

In 2025, I left my job as a peer support worker and trainer.

I thought I was just starting a YouTube channel to share tools and lived experience.

or how much it would teach me about fear, confidence, curiosity, and consistency.

Turns out, building something new has a way of revealing what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

Watch the full video here:

In This Video, You’ll Learn:

  • Why getting started is often the antidote to fear
  • Why you can’t skip the “I’m bad at this” phase
  • How curiosity keeps you growing (even when you think you know it all)
  • Why process beats motivation (especially with an overthinking brain)
  • What “love what you do” actually means in real life

If you’re rebuilding, reinventing, or simply trying to show up more consistently, this one’s for you.
